How Playable Reformer Works in Creative Hub

How Playable Reformer Works in Creative Hub
Playable Ads are HTML-based mini-games designed for mobile game advertising. They let users try the gameplay directly in the ad before installing the app. This format significantly increases engagement and conversion, but creating such creatives has always been a challenge: each ad network (Applovin, Mintegral, Unity and others) enforces its own requirements for playable creatives.
To simplify the process, AdsAdvisor launched a new tool - Playable Reformer. It handles the routine work of adapting HTML-files to ad network specifications.
How it works
Uploading source files. The production team prepares a folder with the playable creative containing the main file and assets.
Packing. In the Creative Hub interface you simply select the creative folder, click Pack Playable, provide a name and select the ad networks for which you need the final HTML-file.
Automatic adaptation. The service processes the sources using system templates and “repackages” them into the formats accepted by the selected ad networks.
- For networks with special requirements (for example, Applovin or Unity), the converter automatically injects the necessary links and API calls.
- Where links are stored in the ad accounts (for example, TikTok, Facebook, Mintegral), no additional configuration is required.
- Ready playable files. Output folders for each network appear next to the source files. Inside you’ll find ready-to-upload HTML- or ZIP-files suitable for direct upload to ad accounts.
Why it matters
The market cost of producing playable ads varies widely - typically from $300 to $2,000+ per creative, depending on complexity, number of interactive elements and visual quality. Resizing for different networks typically costs at least $20–40 per resize and can take up to one business week when done by developers.
At AdsAdvisor we built Playable Reformer to save time, money and resources. It adapts one source HTML-file for eight ad networks: Applovin, Mintegral, Unity, Google, IronSource, Facebook, TikTok and Moloco.
This can save teams $200–300 per concept on resizing and rework. Moreover, the resizing can be performed by a UA manager or a creative producer without involving a developer.
Playable Reformer also directly improves the economics of an in-house creative production. By automating packaging, one developer can produce, for example, five Playable Ads per month instead of four. Since the developer is on a fixed salary, the cost per creative falls by roughly 20%. Production capacity within the in-house team increases and the need for more expensive external vendors is reduced.
Key benefits of Playable Reformer
Faster production. Even complex playable creatives can be packaged for ad networks in a few clicks by UA managers or creative producers - no developer involvement required.
Consistent standards. The tool tracks changes in network requirements and updates templates automatically; creatives can be rebuilt at any time.
Up-to-date compliance. Playable Reformer continuously monitors ad networks’ requirements for HTML-files and promptly applies the necessary changes to all generated outputs.
Error filtering. If there are inaccuracies in the code, Playable Reformer detects them early so the file can be corrected before upload.
Cross-platform readiness. A single playable works for both iOS and Android - on click, users are redirected to the App Store or Google Play.
In short, Playable Reformer turns the routine task of adapting HTML creatives for multiple ad networks into a fully automated process. The team only needs to upload the source files - Playable Reformer does the rest.
